New Day Green Smoothie

Every day is a new day! And if you begin your day with this smoothie you can be sure you are giving your body some superior nutrition to carry you through to its end. Packed with greens in a tangy, sweet orange juice base, this smoothie provides excellent micronutrient content and a satisfying, fresh taste. Enjoy it with some raw nuts for better absorption of fat-soluble vitamins in the greens.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups orange juice (fresh-squeezed is best)
  • 1 cup carrots, rough chopped
  • large handful of kale
  • large handful spinach
  • ~ 1/4 cup fresh parsley
  • 1 avocado

Directions:

  • Place all ingredients into a high powered blender and blend until smooth!

Serves 2. Enjoy!
