Green Goodness Salad Dressing. Vegan and Oil-free.

Green Goddess, kindly take a seat at the back of the room. Way back. This Green Goodness dressing is so fresh and healthy, I could eat it plain! My honey, wordsmith that he is, named this dressing. The fresh herbs create such a wonderful flavor and the avocado makes it dreamy, creamy, luscious AND nutritious.


  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 cup unsweetened, non-dairy milk
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • large handful fresh, chopped parsley (about ¼ cup)
  • 2 tsp fresh, chopped dill
  • 1 TBS chopped basil
  • 1 TBS fresh lemon juice


  1. Place the avocado, milk, lemon juice, garlic powder and onion powder into a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Remove the thick stems from the herbs and add them. Blend again just enough to combine (a few seconds), but not so much that you can’t see pieces of the fresh herbs.

Makes about 2 cups. Enjoy!

    This looks yummy! Always looking for a fresh dressing….how long does it last? My experience with avocado is that it begins to discolor the next day. Thanks…I so enjoy your creativity…you make being a vegan easy!

    • Thanks for the feedback! Yes, you're right. You would need to eat this right away. It does not last very long… although if you added a tablespoon of lemon juice to the recipe it would last a bit longer. Come to think of it, I think I'll add that in there!! 🙂

    I recently read that you could put mashed avocado into a container, and cover it with a very thin layer of water. Then seal it tightly. When you want to use it, spill off the water and mix up the avocado. It lasts a few days like this.
